Job summary

Cultivate Intellect is seeking a part-time tutor and academic mentor to work with middle and high school students. Most tutoring occurs virtually, with optional in-person sessions for Palm Beach County residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or current student with strong academic record preferred.
• At least one year of tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or related experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized tutoring to middle and high school students.
• Tutor across multiple subjects with emphasis on math through Algebra 2.
• Support reading, writing, study skills, organization, and test prep as appropriate.
• Help students prepare for quizzes, exams, and major assignments.
• Adapt explanations to individual learning styles and needs.
• Build positive relationships with students and maintain accountability.
• Prepare for tutoring sessions and track progress.
• Communicate progress and observations with the Cultivate Intellect team.
• Learn unfamiliar curricula and platforms as needed.
