Qualifications

• Must have (or be able to obtain) a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree or 60 quarter/48 semester hours, or completion of the ParaPro Praxis test.
• Demonstrated ability to support math instruction and assist students in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials under teacher direction to reinforce objectives.
• Assist students individually or in small groups with lessons and practice tasks.
• Communicate with teachers and parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Support teachers with curriculum implementation and classroom instruction.
• Monitor student behavior and safety to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Maintain classroom records and prepare materials as needed.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
