Job summary

Hinds Community College is seeking a Part Time Math Lab Tutor in Raymond, MS. The role reports to the Raymond Math Department Chair and supports students in math labs both in person and online.

The tutor will provide subject-specific tutoring for PreCollege Algebra through Calculus I, helping students develop problem-solving skills and math confidence.

Minimum qualification is an Associate of Arts Degree (or equivalent). The position offers up to 19.5 hours per week with no benefits listed.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience tutoring math to college students preferred.
  • Ability to tutor PreCollege Algebra through Calculus I.

Responsibilities

  • Tutors math to students face-to-face and/or virtually.
  • Supports understanding of algebra through Calculus I.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of course content and tutoring best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.

Math Lab Tutor:- Provide subject specific tutoring services to students both face to face and/or virtually. Content knowledge should include PreCollege Algebra through Calculus 1
