Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach Mathematics in a flexible schedule across various times and locations. Responsibilities include developing engaging lessons, using syllabi, advising students, and submitting timely reports.

Instructors may teach up to five classes per academic year and must be available for day, evening, and weekend offerings. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics or have 18 graduate hours in Mathematics or Statistics, plus

Responsibilities

Teaches Math courses at a variety of times and locations.
Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
Uses a course syllabus and follows institutional guidelines.
Meets with and advises students before/after class or by appointment.
Evaluates students and informs them of progress.
Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Attends meetings, trainings, and orientations; performs related duties.
