Job summary

Serasana Southwest Austin is seeking a part-time Licensed Massage Therapist to join our Southwest Austin team. Our wellness center blends ancient practices with modern care, featuring a tea bar and boutique offerings to support clients on their wellness journey.

You will consult with clients, customize sessions, and document SOAP notes while enjoying our unique environment with six treatment rooms, including space for couples’ massage, and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Massage Therapy License.
• Current liability insurance.
• Ability to do soothing and deep tissue massage.
• Cupping experience is a plus (will train).

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients regarding their current needs, medical history, and overall wellness.
• Customize sessions around specific complaints or problem areas.
• Complete SOAP notes after each session.
• Recommend treatment plans that can include yoga, acupuncture, meditation, tea and other remedies; provide written Wellness Prescription.
• Clean and sanitize therapy room and equipment after sessions; replace linens between sessions.

STUDIO OVERVIEW

Serasana means "To Be Healthy," and our mission is to create a community of hope and healing. Serasana is a Wellness Center that fuses ancient wellness practices, specializing in stress and pain management, by encouraging regular use of acupuncture, yoga, massage, healing tea and remedies.

We are looking for a Part-time Licensed Massage Therapist to join our Southwest Austin team. Our environment is unique--we have a beautiful tea bar and a thoughtful retail selection that supports our clients on their wellness journey. We have six treatment rooms including space for couples’ massage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• -Consult with clients regarding their current needs, medical history (including injuries and chronic health conditions), and overall wellness


• -Customize sessions around specific complaints or problem areas


• -Complete SOAP notes after each session


• -Recommend treatment plans that can include suggestions for better health, including yoga, acupuncture, meditation, tea and other remedies to assist clients in their wellness journey and take advantage of our available offerings; provide them with a written Wellness Prescription


• -Clean and sanitize therapy room and equipment after sessions; replace linens between sessions

QUALIFICATION S

• -Current Texas Massage Therapy License


• -Current liability insurance


• -Ability to do soothing and deep tissue massage


• -Cupping experience is not required, but a plus (will train)

REQUIREMENT S

• -Frequent bending at waist


• -Ability to assist clients with disabilities


• -Ability to lift 50 lbs

COMPENSATION

• -Base pay per service + tips = estimated average $45 to $60 for 50 minute services and $75 to $90 for 80 minute services
