Job summary

ActivStars Athletics in Independence, MO seeks PART-TIME Martial Arts Instructor to teach youth programs in the evenings. You will work with kids, delivering a structured, positive class experience under the ActivStars curriculum.

Ideal candidates hold a Black Belt, are comfortable with kata or forms, and can travel to multiple class locations. Earn competitive pay ($16–$30+ per hour) with paid training and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Black Belt in a traditional forms-based martial art.
• Familiar with kata or forms based on a traditional style.
• Training in Karate, Taekwondo, Kenpo, Kung Fu or similar system.
• Must be 18+ with reliable transportation to class locations.

Responsibilities

• Teach beginner-through-advanced youth students.
• Create a fun, positive, and structured learning environment.
• Manage student attendance and class check-in.
• Maintain basic class records.
• Encourage participation in ActivStars Athletics tournaments, camps, and events.
