Job summary

The Milgard School of Business at the University of Washington Tacoma invites applications for a lecturer part-time temporary position, with an anticipated start date September 1, 2026. The successful candidate will join our faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year on a 0.33 FTE basis.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in marketing, advertising, consumer behavior, and sales, with on-site, online, or hybrid delivery as needed and occasional evenings.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Business or related discipline.
• Five years teaching experience or equivalent in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver rigorous course content that meets UW standards.
• Ensure course materials align with catalog descriptions and goals.
• Coordinate with Area Coordinator and Milgard School administration.
• Use effective teaching strategies and student evaluation methods.
• Inform students of requirements and provide ongoing feedback.
• Hold regular office hours.
• Use appropriate technology for the course.
• Submit course grades by the deadline.
