Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support community engagement and relationship-building efforts by assisting with KCARC-sponsored events, United Way activities, Chamber of Commerce functions, media appearances, and other community outreach opportunities.
  • Attend evening and weekend events as needed to support organizational marketing and public relations initiatives.
  • Assist with photography, videography, and the development of visual content for social media, promotional materials, special events, and other marketing projects.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual content calendars for KCARC's social media platforms.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of organizational events, including the Annual Awards Banquet, Miss Marvelous, and other company-wide programs and celebrations.
  • Update and maintain mailing lists for ARC membership communications, newsletters, and other outreach efforts.
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance, and teardown of displays, exhibits, and promotional materials for internal and community events.
  • Coordinate and schedule facility tours, field trips, and related promotional activities as assigned.
  • Create, distribute, and track promotional materials to schools, media outlets, community partners, referral sources, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare promotional items, event materials, gift baskets, giveaways, prizes, and other marketing resources as needed.
  • Generate and maintain monthly marketing reports and other performance metrics.
  • Support brand awareness and community outreach efforts through positive interactions with participants, employees, families, community members, and partner organizations.
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude while representing KCARC.
  • Perform frequent walking and standing activities, including walking a minimum of two (2) miles per workday as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work additional hours as needed to support organizational and departmental needs.

Position Summary

The Marketing Assistant supports the planning, coordination, development, and implementation of marketing, public relations, community outreach, and promotional initiatives that enhance awareness of KCARC's programs, services, departments, events, and mission. Work Schedule

This position may require a flexible schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours, to support community events, organizational functions, marketing initiatives, and outreach activities. Additional hours, when required, are mandatory.

  • Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, community outreach, or related areas is preferred.
  • Must possess a driving record that meets insurability requirements and maintain reliable personal transportation.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and varying outdoor weather conditions.
