Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking to fill a part-time security position at a government maritime transportation location. The role involves providing customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and vendors while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.

You will control access, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents following established protocols. The successful candidate will hold a TSA-issued TWIC, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be at least 18 years old (21+

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government maritime transportation location.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and/or delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain visitor and vehicle access records, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facilities, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
