Job summary

Maud Independent School District is seeking a part-time Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and repair of building structures and assist with grounds upkeep. You will perform tasks with minimal supervision following district policies and safety rules.

Responsibilities include basic construction and routine maintenance, operation of hand and power tools, and ensuring safety of district vehicles. Strong reading of blueprints and effective verbal communication are valued, in Texas.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal)
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and physical exam
• Ability to operate vehicle
• Knowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair procedures
