Job summary

Human Resource Development and Employment, Inc. is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician for our Fairmont housing complex.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and maintain common areas to ensure safety and comfort for residents. Requirements include a high school diploma, 5 years maintenance experience with at least 2 years in supervision, WV refrigerant certification, ability to lift 50 lbs, a valid driver’s license, and

Qualifications

High school diploma and 5 years maintenance experience.
At least 2 years supervisory experience.
Ability to train and guide others.
Willingness to work with disabled and elderly persons.
Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry.
WV refrigerant certification required.
Must lift up to 50 lbs and reside within 20 miles.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and building systems.
Repair mechanicals and building components.
Handle plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and electrical tasks in units and common areas.
Maintain smoke detectors and replace light bulbs.
Maintain HVAC equipment and refrigerant systems.
Keep grounds, hallways, and common areas clean and safe.
Perform other maintenance tasks as needed.
