Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms and public areas.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain building systems, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings.
• Perform basic repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general upkeep.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize disruptions and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Identify potential concerns and communicate larger repairs to leadership.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas following safety procedures.
• Assist with maintenance logs, work orders, and tracking supplies.

The Maintenance Technician plays an essential role in maintaining the hotel's physical condition, ensuring guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, and building systems remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, completing repairs, identifying potential issues, and supporting the overall appearance and operation of the property. Through proactive maintenance and attention to detail, the Maintenance Technician helps provide a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable experience for guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain building systems, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings.

• Perform basic repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general property upkeep.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest room issues to minimize disruptions and maintain guest satisfaction.

• Identify potential maintenance concerns and communicate larger repairs or equipment issues to property leadership.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while following established safety procedures.

• Assist with maintaining maintenance logs, completing work orders, and tracking supplies as needed.

• Support property inspections, preventative maintenance programs, and special projects as assigned.

• Follow Newport policies, brand standards, and applicable safety requirements.

Requirements

• Previous maintenance, facilities, or repair experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate with other team members.

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.

• Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
