State of Nebraska is seeking a part-time Mail/Materiel Specialist in Lincoln, NE to support mail and materials handling for the Department of Administrative Services. The role involves dispatching mail, calculating postage, operating processing equipment, and assisting customers both over the phone and at the counter.

The position requires experience in shipping/receiving or related coursework, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift heavy items.

Formación

• Experience in shipping and receiving, handling inventory, warehouse work, or processing mail.
• Coursework or training in office support, shipping and receiving, warehouse, inventory, or mail processing practices.

Responsabilidades

• Determine destination and means of dispatching mail and materials, calculate postage and shipping costs.
• Operate mail processing equipment and hand-held scanners.
• Drive an 18' straight truck and cargo van to pick up and deliver mail on routes.
• Sort and distribute incoming and inter-agency mail for customers as needed.
• Provide customer service via telephone and at the counter.
