Job summary

Manassas City Public Schools in Manassas, Virginia seeks a part-time Cafeteria Monitor to supervise students during lunch and support cafeteria operations. You will help maintain order, assist with cleanup, and promote safe, respectful behavior in the dining area.

Responsibilities include seating students, supervising meal service, guiding etiquette, and assisting staff while ensuring safety during emergencies. A high school diploma is preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Seat students in an orderly manner in the cafeteria.
• Supervise students and manage behavior during meal service.
• Assist with cafeteria cleanliness by clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and floors.
• Communicate with students and staff in a positive and professional manner.
• Monitor and encourage good table etiquette.
• Assist students during lunchtime.
• Help parents, relatives, or visitors in the lunchroom.
• Maintain order during dismissal from the cafeteria.
• Direct students to fire exits in emergencies.
• Perform other duties as requested.
