Groton-Dunstable Regional School District Swallow Union Elementary School - Dunstable, MA is seeking a part-time Lunch/Recess Aide to actively supervise students in the cafeteria, playground and throughout the school during lunchtime.

The role involves assisting with transitions, helping students with lunch items, and modeling proper lunchroom etiquette while coordinating with kitchen and instructional staff to ensure a safe, orderly and engaging lunch period.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in cafeteria, playground and school premises during lunchtime.
• Assist students with lunch line, trays, milk and condiments.
• Monitor student behavior and administer appropriate discipline per school rules.
• Collaborate with kitchen, custodial and instructional staff to improve lunchtime flow.
• Help younger students with opening lunch items and cleanup after meals.
• Support transitions to/from lunchroom and ensure safety and orderliness.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness (tables, floor, trash) and play area supervision.
• Provide appropriate supervision to ensure a positive lunch period for all students.
