Job summary

Coloma Community Schools is seeking a dedicated Lunch & Recess Supervisor for K-3rd grade. This part-time role (2 hours per day) will help ensure a safe, enjoyable, and structured environment during lunch and recess.

You will supervise students, promote positive behavior, and facilitate activities that encourage social interaction and physical activity. Training and staff meetings may be required to stay updated on school policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; education in child development is a plus.
• Prior experience with children in school or recreational settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to calmly manage and resolve conflicts.
• Knowledge of child safety practices; first aid/CPR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch and recess to ensure safety and well-being.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules consistently.
• Encourage positive social interactions and provide conflict resolution support.
• Assist with lunch-related tasks and maintain dining area cleanliness.
• Communicate effectively with students and staff regarding concerns or incidents.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote a positive school culture.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, addressing hazards promptly.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
