Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support general clinical nursing care under a primary care provider. You will assist with exams, procedures, and patient education as part of the care team.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms and instruments, documenting patient data, and helping to implement and revise care plans. This is a part-time role with a 20-hour workweek and union representation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse license required by the State of Michigan.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience as an LPN in a relevant area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the primary care provider with exams, tests, and procedures and provide patient instructions.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and rooms for patient care and document patient data accurately.
• Support development and revision of patient care plans with the healthcare team.
• Facilitate patient communication, explanations of test results or prescriptions, and follow-up when needed.
