Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Westwood, MA. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, under supervision, with a 20-hour workweek and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients, taking vital signs, administering medications under supervision, preparing patients for procedures, and performing routine office tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN licensure in Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support preferred.
• 3 years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patient about problems, medications, allergies and review records.
• Measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure and pulse.
• Provide basic patient care such as dressing wounds, immunizations and nebulizer treatments.
• Administer medications under supervision of physician and RN.
• Perform office tasks: answer phones, triage, and manage messages.
• Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests when needed.
• Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures.
• Assist with bathing, dressing and mobility.
