Job summary

CVS Health’s Omnicare is seeking a part-time Pharmacist in Florida to join our Long Term Care pharmacy team. You will ensure accurate order entry, supervise dispensing, and support sterile IV product preparation when required, while maintaining security and compliance with DEA/state laws.

Must be a licensed Florida pharmacist, with strong customer service capabilities and a team-oriented mindset. Immunization/IV certifications and LTC experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Florida, must be active and in good standing.
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.
• IV Certification or experience preferred.
• Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders.
• Maintain security of the pharmacy.
• Adhere to required delivery schedules.
• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.
• Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders.
• Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
• Know DEA and state law regarding controlled drug dispensing.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation.
• Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
