Job description

The primary role of the Logistics Specialist (LS) involves loading and unloading tires for warehouse storage and/or timely customer delivery, including the unloading and staging of products at the customer’s business location. The LS is expected to represent TireHub professionally in all customer interactions and maintain safe driving practices, while delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong customer relationships.

Compensation and Schedule

• Starting wage of $20.20 per hour with guaranteed increases of $2.00 over the first year.
• Monday through Friday, 2 pm–7 pm (25 hours a week).

Responsibilities

• General Warehousing.
• Delivery Services.
• Vehicle Maintenance.
• Adjust allocations as business needs evolve.
• Load, unload, inspect, and tally tires to and from transport vehicles (trailer trucks, box trucks, delivery vans).
• Follow TireHub safety standards for packing, counting, labeling, palletizing customer orders, and locating them with the bin locator system.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks, ensuring safety protocols.
• Conduct and participate in cycle counts, tallies, and labeling as part of scheduled and annual inventory control procedures.
• Collect payments from customers on Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions.
• Ensure vehicles remain clean and in good mechanical/physical condition.
• Conduct pre/post‑trip vehicle inspections daily and report any operational issues or mechanical defects to the supervisor or designated person.
• Complete all driver and vehicle maintenance logs regularly.
• Ensure compliance with all TireHub policies and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training through in‑class, in‑person, or computer‑based learning modules as assigned.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 3 years of driving history with a valid license (license, not permit).
• 19 years old or older.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Repeatedly lift, pull, push and/or move tires (up to 50 lb) with or without mechanical assistance.
• Capable of frequent bending, twisting and lifting.
• Multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Accurately and efficiently load, unload and place tires in warehouse and delivery vehicles.
• Work up to 35 ft above ground level.
• Work up to 8 hours per day on a forklift.
• Follow traffic rules and regulations by safely driving TireHub vehicles to deliver tires.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Manifest, GPS and navigation systems.
• Maintain forklift certification.
• Maintain a valid REAL I.D. driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience required (3 years preferred).

Working Conditions

• Required to lift, pull, push, and/or move tires (up to 50 lb or greater) with or without mechanical assistance following standard operating and safety procedures.
• Other physical requirements include regular standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing and balancing.
• May be required to handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment such as gloves and eyewear.
• Specific vision requirements may include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Operate equipment in various settings, from non‑climate‑controlled warehouses to customer locations.
• Extended day, evening, and weekend work (including Saturday) may be required, sometimes with little to no advanced notice.
• Driving during nighttime or inclement weather may be required.
