Job summary

Bowling Green State University’s Falcon Outfitters is seeking a part-time Shipping and Receiving Assistant to support the package center operations. You will assist in receiving, shipping, and delivering packages, handle on-line orders, operate POS terminals, and help with events while maintaining high service standards on campus.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude, with the ability to work 12 hours per week across 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday,

Qualifications

• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Extremely reliable, responsible and dependable.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude to maintain positive employee relations and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, with a minimum availability of 12 hours per week.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Able to lift 70+ pounds.
• Must be able to work over breaks.
• Supply Chain Management major/minor preferred, but not required. Position can be used as an internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing various duties related to receiving, shipping and delivering packages.
• Utilize software, packing lists, and miscellaneous documents to ship, receive and deliver packages.
• Follow standard procedures to ensure scanning integrity and quality control of merchandise for resale.
• Help with on-line order processing and shipping.
• Operate point of sale terminals for cash and charge sales transactions.
• Assist with special events such as passing out commencement tickets.
• Provide customer service and deliver student packages at the package center.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the core values, mission and goals of BGSU.
