Job summary

Notre Dame Prep Upper School in Pontiac, MI is seeking an enthusiastic Lincoln-Douglas Debate Coach to lead and mentor high school students in competitive debate. You will plan regular practices, teach LD formats and strategies, mentor students in research and argument development, and prepare them for local, regional, and national tournaments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead regular practices, drills, and tournament preparation.
• Teach Lincoln-Douglas debate formats, strategies, research methods, and case development.
• Mentor students in researching topics, constructing arguments, and delivering effective speeches.
• Prepare students for and attend local, regional, and national tournaments as needed.
• Foster a positive, challenging, and inclusive team environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
