Job summary

Swim to Shore | An Emler Swim School is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure a safe, fun, and encouraging environment for swimmers of all ages in Murrieta, CA. You will supervise pool activities, enforce rules, perform rescues, and provide first aid with CPR/AED when needed.

Excellent teamwork and communication are essential as you support instructors and educate families on water safety. Shifts include evenings and weekends, with growth opportunities within the program.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (Red Cross or equivalent) required
• Strong swimming and rescue skills
• Ability to stay aware and act quickly in emergencies
• Dependable, safety-focused, and calm under pressure
• Friendly, team-oriented attitude with great communication skills
• Must be at least 15 years old

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool activities to maintain a safe, positive environment
• Enforce pool rules and respond quickly to emergencies
• Perform rescues, administer first aid, and use CPR/AED when necessary
• Conduct safety checks and report hazards or maintenance needs
• Maintain high attention to reduce risks and promote safety
• Support swim instructors and educate swimmers on water safety
• Keep the pool area clean, organized, and hazard-free
• Participate in safety drills and ongoing training
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining safety oversight
• Assist with special events and swim programs as needed
