Job summary

The Town of Parker, Colorado is hiring a part-time Lifeguard to provide direct pool surveillance and emergency response in a busy aquatics facility. You will enforce rules, perform safety checks, and participate in ongoing training to maintain Starguard Elite standards.

You must be at least 16, able to swim, and obtain required lifeguard and safety certifications within 30 days of hire. The role demands teamwork, strong customer service, and calm handling of incidents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and able to swim.
• Must obtain Starguard Elite Lifeguarding or equivalent certification within 30 days of hire, plus Basic Life Support and First Aid.
• Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills; ability to handle emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant pool surveillance and respond to emergencies following FEAP.
• Enforce pool rules in a calm, professional manner.
• Complete monthly in-service training and timely incident reports.
• Perform safety inspections, basic cleaning and equipment checks.
• Participate in drills to meet Starguard Elite standards.
• Communicate with staff and the public in a positive manner.
