Job summary

Highgate Hotels in New York City is seeking a vigilant Lifeguard to ensure guest safety and provide premier poolside service at The Harmonie Club. The role requires monitoring pool areas, enforcing rules, and assisting guests with safety and comfort.

You will maintain water quality and cleanliness, complete daily logs, and collaborate with the spa and fitness team. Applicants should hold Lifeguard CPR/First Aid certifications and be prepared for flexible, long hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Lifeguard Certification with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid.
• Successful completion of Red Cross or equivalent Water/Life Safety course.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool usage and enforce safety rules for guests and staff.
• Verify guest registration for pool and exercise facilities.
• Maintain chemical and temperature levels in pool, whirlpool, and spa as directed.
• Check equipment daily and ensure pool area cleanliness and supplies.
• Complete daily reports and logs and assist with special projects.
• Attend required meetings and trainings and uphold Highgate Hotel Standards.
