Job summary

The Powhatan Family YMCA is seeking a part-time lifeguard to help ensure the safety of patrons at our pool. We welcome certified lifeguards or swimmers willing to become lifeguards and will certify you if you qualify.

Pay ranges from $15 to $16 per hour, with training provided for those not yet certified. Qualified applicants must be at least 15 years old and possess CPR, AED, and First Aid, plus a current lifeguard certification (Red Cross or Ellis).

Qualifications

• Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and have current CPR, AED, First Aid and either American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification.
• The Y will train interested candidates who meet basic swim requirements if not already certified!

• Qualified lifeguards will be responsible for the safety of the members and program participants.
