Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of office management experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience leading lifeguard trainings and aquatic classes required.
• Valid American Red Cross Community First Aid, Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and related certifications required.
• Ability to obtain American Red Cross certification within one month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patron surveillance, rescues, and care per lifeguard and first aid training.
• Provide lifeguarding and instruction for external participants in aquatic classes.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness; suggest improvements.
• Maintain attendance, health, safety records, and participant files.
• Ensure pool chemical levels are maintained and equipment stored safely.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and events.
• Uphold mandated reporting requirements and complete background checks.
