Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory - Cascade Division is seeking an Aquatics Specialist 2 - Lifeguard to maintain safety and cleanliness of the aquatic facility. This is a part-time, non-exempt role with 29 hours per week and an hourly wage of $17.98.

Responsibilities include providing lifeguard services, responding to emergencies, completing incident reports, and participating in staff trainings. The role may require weekend/evening shifts and compliance with ADA accommodations as needed.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak English language to express ideas and communicate effectively.
• Use of aquatic equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Multi-task and follow instructions to complete tasks in a safe and effective manner; Interact with individuals using generally accepted business behaviors and standards; respond appropriately to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide life-guarding services.
• Respond to emergency situations and if necessary, administer CPR/First Aid.
• Prepare and submit accident/incident reports.
• Participate in In-Service training, orientations and other staff meetings as requested.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in and around the natatorium, e.g. hosing, vacuuming, picking up litter, etc.
• Complete applicable reports and make records.
