Job summary

The Riverdale YM-YWHA is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to ensure pool safety through vigilant monitoring and quick response to emergencies. Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, you will also perform routine chemical checks, help set up swim areas, and keep the pool deck clean.

Requirements include being 15 or older, current Lifeguarding/CPR/AED/First Aid certification, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 15 years or older.
• Currently certified Lifeguarding/CPR/AED/First Aid (required).
• Familiarity with facility Emergency Action Plan.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an outgoing and enthusiastic demeanor at all times.
• Enforce all pool policies and procedures with strong customer service.
• Report to work in uniform at least ten minutes before shift.
• Explain and enforce rules and regulations to patrons.
• Maintain pool deck cleanliness and safety.
