Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, well-organized individual with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills to help customers have a remarkable experience.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Reviewing real property title searches, deeds, tax records, map/plat records, subdivision records, and interpreting surveys and plats.
  2. Reading and interpreting attorney’s preliminary title opinions to produce residential and commercial binders, policies, and endorsements.
  3. Issuance of Title Insurance Commitments, Pro-Forma and Title Insurance Policies, Date Down Endorsements, and other related items.
  4. Coordinating and responding to underwriter and closing office questions regarding policy issuance.
  5. Determining requirements and exceptions necessary to complete binders and policies according to underwriting procedures and state laws.
  6. Requesting authorization for binders exceeding liability limitations.
  7. Recognizing title defects and consulting counsel on insurability.
  8. Corresponding with clients to obtain missing documentation or clarify information.
Qualifications:
  1. Basic understanding of Title Insurance and Title Policy issuance.
  2. Ability to learn procedural rules for Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee Department of Insurance regarding Title Production.
  3. Title Insurance License (to be obtained after hire).
  4. Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  5. Proficiency in SoftPro and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload.
  7. Commitment to ethics, integrity, and compliance.
  8. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Strong attention to detail.
