Job summary

KIPP Texas Public Schools in Austin is hiring a School-Based Mental Health Counselor to support students, families, and school staff by identifying barriers to learning and coordinating resources with the campus team.

The role requires licensure in LMSW/LCSW/LPC/LMFT, experience in crisis response, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary setting on a full-time basis with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least one of the following licensures: LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-S, LPC-I, LPC, LPC-S, or LMFT.
• Experience in crisis response and knowledge of social services.
• Ability to conduct interventions within a multidisciplinary team and maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to improve student social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes.
• Provide consultation to school staff, families, and community partners on interventions.
• Coordinate with community resources to ensure continuity of services for students.
• Maintain accurate records and protect student privacy in accordance with policy and law.
• Support a positive, safe, and welcoming school environment for all students.
