Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support individuals with IDD in Kentucky. This role focuses on holistic nursing, health monitoring, and coordinating care with a committed interdisciplinary team.

The LPN will provide routine nursing assessments, administer medications, assist with medical appointments, and participate in person-centered planning to help people reach their goals. Weekend 8a-8p schedule included.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid state Licensed Practical Nurse certification.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Ability to lift between 20 and 50 pounds and provide CPR after certification.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide health-related training to staff and people supported.
  • Provide routine nursing assessments.
  • Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled.
  • Be an active participant in each individual's person-centered plan to help them reach their fullest potential.
  • Interact with staff at the office and in residential homes.
  • Assist RN and professional staff in delivering quality nursing services.
  • Administer specified medications.
  • Remove expired medications from circulation and access.
  • Take health history and record vital signs.
  • Observe individuals and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment as needed.
  • Advocate for individuals with IDD.
  • Participate as part of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Exhibit excellent listening and communication skills.

Part-Time / Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN

Type: Regular. We are hiring for: Part-Time / Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN. Pay: $30.42/hr. Schedule: every weekend 8a-8p.

We are seeking an outgoing and energetic Licensed Practical Nurse who wants to make a difference in the lives of others. As a nurse with RHA you will have an opportunity to practice holistic nursing and to positively impact the lives of others by providing healthcare oversight and monitoring for the people we serve.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide health-related training to the staff and people supported,
  • provide routine nursing assessments,
  • assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled,
  • be an active participant in each individual's person-centered plan to help them reach their fullest potential.
  • You will interact with staff at the RHA office as well as in the residential homes.
  • Assists RN and professional staff in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported.
  • Administers specified medications.
  • Removes expired medications from circulation and access.
  • Takes historical information and records persons' supported vital signs.
  • Observes person's supported mannerisms and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment as needed.
  • Advocates for individuals with IDD.
  • Participates as an intricate part of the interdisciplinary team for the people we support.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, can pick up on nonverbal communication and is eager to work on nonstandard nursing assignments.
Job Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
