180 DEGREES MEDICAL PLLC in Jamaica, Queens, NY is seeking a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join its outpatient medical clinic part-time. The therapist will provide therapeutic massage to patients with muscle tension, chronic pain, and mobility concerns, in a professional medical setting.

Responsibilities include intake, tailoring techniques, documenting treatments, collaborating with clinicians, and educating patients on post-treatment care.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS LMT license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program.
• CPR/AED certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Reliable and punctual; able to work independently.
• Ability to document treatments accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional therapeutic massage treatments based on patient needs and clinical appropriateness.
• Conduct a brief intake and identify the patient's primary concerns, treatment goals, areas of discomfort, and relevant contraindications.
• Provide individualized massage techniques: Swedish, Wood, Lymphatic Drainage, Deep-tissue, Therapeutic, Myofascial, Trigger-point, Sports/recovery, Stretching and mobility.
• Maintain accurate treatment documentation according to clinic policy.
• Communicate relevant observations to the medical provider when appropriate.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care, hydration, stretching, and general wellness.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and professional treatment room.
• Follow infection-control, privacy, safety, and clinic policies.
• Maintain professional boundaries and a patient-centered approach.
• Provide excellent customer service and help establish long-term patient relationships.
• Maintain all required credentials and continuing education.
