Job summary

EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Licensed Journeyman Plumber for a part-time role in Germantown, MD. Schedule: Saturday 2:00pm – 10:00pm; position covered by the CBA for Local 99.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining plumbing systems, reading blueprints, and coordinating with building principals and supervisors to complete projects. A Journeyman Plumber’s License is required and the ability to obtain/maintain an L level security clearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumber's License required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an L level security clearance.
• Preferred 6 years’ experience in plumbing.
• Preferred 2 years with journeyman plumbing and gas license.
• Extensive knowledge with practical experience in commercial plumbing systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test plumbing systems and components according to codes.
• Determine sources of malfunctions and complete repairs per work orders.
• Read blueprints and specifications to plan layouts for piping systems.
• Plan, install and service plumbing systems, piping, and controls; test for leaks.
• Receive and complete work orders and estimate material needs.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
