Job summary

New Season Treatment Centers in Toledo, OH seeks an LPN to join our clinic team and provide direct patient care under the Medical Director and RN. You will administer medications, monitor patients, collect data, and maintain accurate records in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

You will engage with patients during challenging times, participate in daily inventory, and help with documentation for audits and regulatory processes. Ohio licensure is required.

Qualifications

  • Active LPN license in Ohio required.
  • Knowledge of opiate addiction and medical terminology.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel; basic typing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supply and administer medication per physician order and record dosage.
  • Daily inventory of medication supply with sight/count.
  • Maintain accuracy in daily medication accounting.
  • Collect fees and perform cash reconciliation when needed.
  • Dispose of medical waste per proper protocol.
  • Observe patient demeanor prior to dosing.
  • Contact other centers to verify dosages.
  • Administer lab tests, vital signs, TB tests as required.
  • Schedule and screen patients for Medical Director.
  • Assist Medical Director with history and physical data.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records.
  • Assist CARF preparation and state audit processes.
  • Interface with public and patients by phone, greet visitors.

Essential Functions:
  • Supply and administer medication pursuant to physician order and record dosage administered in the medical record.
  • Conduct an actual sight and count inventory of the medication supply daily.
  • Maintain absolute accuracy in daily accounting of medication that is supplied or administered in inventory.
  • Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation in the absence of a cashier position.
  • Ensure disposal of medical waste through the proper protocol.
  • Observe the patient's demeanor prior to dosing.
  • Contact other centers to verify dosages as needed.
  • Administer appropriate lab tests as required including patient vital signs, TB tests when required, and collects data for review by the Medical Director or RN.
  • Schedule and screen patients to be seen by the Medical Director.
  • Assist the Medical Director in collecting data for the history and physical as required.
  • Maintain absolute control, tracking, and confidentiality of all patient medical paperwork.
  • Actively participate in CARF preparation and state audit process.
  • Interface with the public and patients by answering phones, greeting visitors, and monitoring patient activities while on center premises.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Education/Licensure/Certification: Active LPN license in the state of Ohio or multi-state.
  • Required Knowledge: Understanding of opiate addiction, medical terminology, general nursing knowledge, and techniques. Basic mathematics skills. Must be computer literate and have basic knowledge of all Microsoft products including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have basic typing skills.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 1-year direct patient contact. Prior experience in the clinical environment is helpful.
