Job summary

New Season Treatment Centers in Ohio seeks an LPN to join our clinic team, working under the Medical Director and Program Director to provide compassionate care to patients during challenging times.

You will perform medication administration, patient assessments, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, quality treatment. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping and patient interaction.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Ohio or multi-state.
• Understanding of opiate addiction, medical terminology, general nursing knowledge, and techniques.
• Basic mathematics skills; must be computer literate and have basic knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel; basic typing skills.
• Minimum of 1 year direct patient contact; prior clinical environment experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supply and administer medication per physician order and record dosage in medical records.
• Conduct inventory of medication supply daily.
• Maintain accuracy in daily accounting of medication in inventory.
• Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation in the absence of a cashier.
• Ensure disposal of medical waste per protocol.
• Observe patient demeanor prior to dosing.
• Contact other centers to verify dosages as needed.
• Administer lab tests including vital signs and TB tests when required; collect data for Medical Director/RN review.
• Schedule and screen patients to be seen by Medical Director.
• Assist Medical Director in collecting data for history and physical as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient paperwork.
• Participate in CARF preparation and state audit processes.
• Interface with public and patients by answering phones, greeting visitors, and monitoring patient activities.

Essential Functions

• Supply and administer medication pursuant to physician order and record dosage administered in the medical record.


• Conduct an actual sight and count inventory of the medication supply daily.


• Maintain absolute accuracy in daily accounting of medication that is supplied or administered in inventory.


• Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation in the absence of a cashier position.


• Ensure disposal of medical waste through the proper protocol.


• Observe the patient's demeanor prior to dosing.


• Contact other centers to verify dosages as needed.


• Administer appropriate lab tests as required including patient vital signs, TB tests when required, and collects data for review by the Medical Director or RN.


• Schedule and screen patients to be seen by the Medical Director.


• Assist the Medical Director in collecting data for the history and physical as required.


• Maintain absolute control, tracking, and confidentiality of all patient medical paperwork.


• Actively participate in CARF preparation and state audit process.


• Interface with the public and patients by answering phones, greeting visitors, and monitoring patient activities while on center premises.

Essential Qualifications

• Education/Licensure/Certification: Active LPN license in the state of Ohio or multi-state.
