Concordia University Irvine is seeking an Associate Therapist for a part-time, 24-hour-per-week role. The position focuses on promoting mental health and wellness among students through individual and group counseling, crisis response, and referrals to on- and off-campus resources.

Qualifications

• Masters or better in Counseling Psychology or related field.
• Part-time, 24 hours per week, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct counseling service hours to Concordia University Irvine students, using individual and group modalities.
• Responds to mental health crises.
• Makes appropriate counseling referrals to on- and off-campus resources.
• Promotes counseling and wellness services to the campus community.
• Completes appropriate tracking and documentation of counseling work.
• Attends Wellness Center staff meetings & other department and campus meetings, as requested.
• Provides Student Leadership training, athletic team wellness training, etc.
• Provides case management and counseling services to students referred through Helping Hands
• Provides case management and counseling services to mandated students through Student Conduct and Athletics
• Communicates with off-campus providers to coordinate treatment for clients, as needed
• Other duties, as assigned
