Meridian Library District is seeking a part-time unBound Library Assistant to support public service desks and technology help at the unBound Business and Technology Library in Meridian, ID.

The role focuses on customer service, information assistance, and basic tech support, including helping patrons with databases, Office software, and 3D printing setup. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required; prior library or retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent education, training, or experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in libraries, education, retail or customer-service related position.
• Bilingual, preferably Spanish-English, Russian-English, or other languages.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and basic tech troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to library patrons at public service desks, on the phone and virtually.
• Provides informational assistance to patrons and refers questions as needed.
• Maintains the appearance of the library and assists with circulation duties.
• Provides technology support to patrons and operates district hardware and software.
• Maintains records and supports opening/closing of the library.
