Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences to teach Library Skills Research by credit hour. The pay per credit hour for this adjunct role is $640.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction, assessing student work, maintaining office hours, and participating in committees. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; postings close January 31 annually.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree in another discipline with 18 hours of graduate work in the teaching discipline.
• Minimum two (2) years teaching experience in higher education or one (1) year teaching experience and three (3) years employment in the field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in Library Skills Research.
• Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' work and informs progress.
• Develops curricula and instructional materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
• Maintains office hours for students and assists in recruitment and retention.
• Maintains accurate attendance and grades in compliance with FERPA.
