Job summary

City of San Jose’s San José Public Library (SJPL) is recruiting for a part-time Student Intern in the Staff Learning and Development team. You will support employee engagement projects, assist trainings, and help maintain the eLearning catalog while working closely with the Personnel team on data management.

The role offers hands-on experience in public-sector human resources and staff development, with mentorship and exposure to large-system operations at the MLK Library on the SJSU campus.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student actively enrolled in college or university.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with strong communication.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with department-wide employee engagement projects and events.
• Support staff trainings and coordinate attendance and communications.
• Help maintain the department eLearning catalog and keep trainings fresh and accessible.
• Coordinate with the Personnel team on digital and physical data management.
