Job summary

King William County Library System is seeking a part-time Facilities Associate in Redding, CA to help keep library spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. The role covers custodial work, basic maintenance, and setting up rooms and equipment for programs.

This on-site, non-exempt position is 20 hours per week at $18.50 per hour, and may include evenings or weekends to support library events.

You will work with staff to maintain facilities and respond to spills, safety concerns, and routine upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in custodial or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean public areas, restrooms, offices, and meeting rooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize all spaces.
• Set up and take down tables, chairs, equipment for programs.
• Monitor and restock supplies; report maintenance needs.
• Maintain exterior entrances and sidewalks.
• Respond to spills and safety hazards promptly.
