Job summary

Huron County Community Library in North Fairfield is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Part-Time Library Clerk to staff the Public Services Desk. This role offers 12–16 hours per week and compensation contingent on experience, with paid holidays, vacation and sick leave.

Responsibilities include assisting patrons, supporting library programming, enforcing policies, and performing general clerical tasks. Availability to work days and evenings is required; the position is an Equal Opportunity

Qualifications

• Computer proficient
• Demonstrated ability to enforce policies and procedures
• Familiarity with operating standard office equipment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Staff the Public Services Desk and assist patrons with library services
• Provide excellent customer service in person and by phone
• Assist with library programming
