River Forest Public Library is seeking a part-time Materials Services Associate (Second of 2 positions) to support the Materials Services Manager. The role involves direct public service at the Materials Services desk, circulation tasks, and light cash handling.

You will balance the cash drawer, process holds, issue library cards, shelve materials, and assist with interlibrary loan and AV setup. High School Diploma and cash handling experience required.

Qualificações

• Must have cash handling experience and basic math accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer tasks.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide courteous, knowledgeable assistance at the Materials Services desk.
• Check in/out library materials, collect fines, and handle renewals.
• Balance cash register and update daily totals in spreadsheets.
• Search for and place holds, issue and renew library cards.
• Shelve materials, assist with interlibrary loan, and handle mail routing.
• Assist with meeting room setup and AV equipment, and print holds sheets.
