Job summary

Muskego-Norway Schools is seeking a Library Assistant at Lake Denoon Middle School to support daily library operations and student learning. This part-time role focuses on customer service, cataloging, circulation, inventory, and assisting with Chromebooks and media resources.

The successful candidate will work with staff, students, and families to maintain a welcoming library environment, manage study halls, and promote positive learning experiences.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Dependable driving and work record required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with staff, students and parents.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to use computer equipment and assistive technology.

Responsibilities

• Catalog, circulate, inventory and generate reports.
• Manage library study halls and book talks with Library Media Specialist.
• Checkout books, AV equipment and resources.
• Maintain records on repairs for student devices.
• Prioritize multiple tasks independently.
• Communicate and collaborate with staff, students and the public.
• Assist with Chromebook distribution and collection.
• Proactively anticipate and solve problems.
• Promote a positive learning environment in the library.
