A community college district in California is seeking a part-time Adjunct Counselor to support LGBTQ+ and other students in achieving their academic goals. Responsibilities include providing counseling, teaching courses, and developing retention programs. Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in counseling or related fields. Candidates should demonstrate experience working with diverse student populations. This position will require participation in campus programs and may include a combination of day and evening assignments in a classroom setting.

Formación

• Experience in educational, career, and personal counseling at a community college, university or clinical setting.
• Experience advising LGBTQ+ and other students about certificates, associate degrees, and transfer requirements.
• Experience working with individuals and groups providing personal and crisis counseling.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a generalist and member of the Counseling Department faculty.
• Provide counseling services related to transfer, vocational, and academic skills development.
• Assist LGBTQ+ and other students in achieving their academic and occupational goals.
