Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a pharmacist to join our in-store pharmacy team, providing exceptional patient-focused care and processing prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency.

You will retrieve medications, enter patient data, generate labels, adjudicate insurance, and support the Pharmacy Department with inventory ordering and adherence to patient confidentiality. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential in our fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or state requirements.
• Retail/Community pharmacy experience.
• Excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Proficient typing, neat penmanship, and strong organizational skills.
• Teamwork, attendance and prioritizing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
