Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Leisure & Sports Marketing Coordinator to support campaigns for local leisure and sports programs. Based in Upington, Northern Cape, ZA, you will help develop marketing strategies, manage social media, and coordinate events to raise awareness and participation.

You will work with the marketing manager, craft engaging content, create collateral, and build relationships with media partners and community groups.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field.
• 1–3 years in marketing or coordination role preferred, Leisure & Sports ideal.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with social media and digital marketing tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies for leisure and sports programs.
• Manage and update social media accounts to boost visibility.
• Coordinate promotional events, activations, and outreach programs.
• Create marketing collateral such as flyers and digital graphics.
• Support media partners and community stakeholders relationships.
• Assist in organizing sports events and community days.
• Conduct market research and report on campaign performance.
• Maintain marketing databases and assist with reporting.
