Salary/Pay Range : $1,300 per credit hour. Compensation willbe commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtimeprovisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Because this appointment is temporary in nature, you will not beeligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided tofaculty under the standard University of Colorado benefits programs. You are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave, medical, orretirement benefits. However, you are eligible to accrue sick leaveat 0.034 hours of sick leave per hour worked.

Work Location : Determined by course modality: On-campus,online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be availableunder certain conditions.

Summary

The College of Letters, Arts, and Science (LAS) at the Universityof Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain apool of Lecturers in Museum Studies and Gallery Practice from whichfuture appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions willbe made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and willbe made semester-by-semester.

The position is responsible for teaching various courses for MuseumStudies and Gallery Practice; however, exact courses taught willdepend on need at the time of hire The courses may be in person oronline.

Qualifications :

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time ofhire.

• Applicants must have a Master’s degree in the field ORsignificant experience in the field that is outlined in a Letter ofExpertise that is submitted to HR in lieu of transcripts. Letter ofExpertise are written by the chair of the department which thatindividual will be lecturing for.
