Job summary

A recognized higher education institution in Florida is seeking a qualified individual to undertake teaching responsibilities and related administrative duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting classes in various design subjects, ensuring high teaching standards, and participating in departmental activities. A Bachelor's degree in Design is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master’s degree. The role also demands experience in curriculum development and effective use of teaching methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related fields from a recognized university is required.
• Teaching experience in higher education and curriculum development is essential.
• Proficiency in IT technologies for teaching is preferred.
• Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning. Able to use software blended the teaching is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching & Learning

• Undertake teaching and teaching-related duties such as design, preparation, and development of teaching materials; conduct classes/lectures, tutorials, and practicals; consultation with students, invigilation, marking, and assessment
• Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the College's teaching and learning expectations

Administration and Other Activities

• Participate in administrative activities related to teaching & learning, and examination-related matters
• Contribute to student enrichment activities and school committees as and when required

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Design or other relevant fields from a recognised University. Master’s degree applicants are preferred.
• Candidates will be required to teach Foundation level modules such as Introduction to Photography, Introduction to Creative Media Design, Critical & Creative Thinking Skills, Design Basics
• Experience working in the higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and high quality of presentation skills
• Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning. Able to use software blended the teaching is preferred.
