Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center Snohomish is seeking a Lead Teacher who, with the Director, delivers Sylvan programs and ensures a high quality personal customer experience. The lead monitors student progress, meets with families, and coordinates with school teachers to apply classroom skills.

You will observe and coach staff, serve as center point of contact when the Director is away, and help manage daily operations. Evening and weekend availability and a commitment to ongoing learning are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required.
• 1-2 years teaching experience preferred.
• Proven ability to engage and motivate students.

Responsibilities

• Teach students in a 3:1 or 4:1 classroom ratio.
• Deliver Sylvan instructional sessions that are balanced and robust.
• Lead conference activities with parents to maintain student enrollment.
• Set weekly goals with Center Director to drive sales growth.
• Ensure all teachers are trained and certified to deliver Sylvan programs.
• Partner with Center Director to run day-to-day operations including customer accounts.
• Motivate and develop staff with ongoing learning opportunities.
• Administer progress assessments according to Sylvan standards.
• Monitor student progress and keep families informed.
• Communicate with classroom teachers to align Sylvan programs with needs.
